Dexter von Drebkau is a beautiful 16 month old German Shepherd.  As you can see, Dexter likes to smile in his pictures to show off his pearly whites.  He is so excited to go on walks that he will enthusiastically pull you down the street if you let him – a behavior that is correctible (you can learn how in the free, group obedience session that comes with his adoption).  Having received no training from his original owner, Dexter is now a good-sized guy with puppy  habits.  He needs basic training and an owner with patience to teach him his boundaries.  He can be stubborn but does listen and respond to an experienced handler (if you have successfully raised any children through the “terrible twos,” you will do well!).   This high-energy boy bounds into canine playgroups, ready to meet everyone and explore the yard.  He can be somewhat pushy when he first meets other dogs but, when corrected, will walk away and lose interest.  We think this big pup may be housebroken.
